WHAT WE ARE DOING TO MAKE A CHANGE

United Hands Inc. is a non-profit, all inclusive, community based organization. We strive to better the lives of the poor, low income, homeless and families affected by Covid-19. Our main priority is to do all we can in order to provide the homeless and low-income families with food and supplies in order to pull through.

We pack and distribute food all around Los Angeles County and surrounding neighborhoods. We have noticed the large increase of hunger everywhere and want to start by giving back to our communities. Low-income families with children, the elderly and the homeless are experiencing this more than ever and wonder where their next meal will come from. The U.S. Department of Agriculture, estimated 1 in 8 Americans are food insecure, and this means that around 42 million Americans and 13 million children are currently struggling. Food insecurity and hunger everywhere are increasing and we're taking action in order to decrease that number by starting in our communities.

WHAT CAN YOU DO TO MAKE A CHANGE?

You can make the biggest impact by sending us your ideas for innovation. It's really just that simple. Stay connected on our socials, spread the word and tell everyone! It does not have to take a big commitment in order to make a big impact in your community. Start small, or offer your time, or stop by to donate small. Regardless, we are glad to have your support at United Hands.

This is an opportunity for you to support your community by giving meals to those who need it and being the change you want to see everywhere. From donating food to supplies, or even just a dollar, you are providing meals and more to individuals in your community who need it. Your support allows us to offer these basic needs to those who are struggling.

Meet the Founder

The founder of United Hands Inc. is Ledis C. Baca Galeas. She was born in La Guacamaya in El Progreso, Yoro, Honduras. While struggling as a single mother of two in her hometown of Montebello, she still managed to care for and help those in Honduras who did not have much. She would send clothing, supplies and much more no matter what her situation looked like. Now, amidst the coronavirus she was encouraged to help families who were affected, as well as low-income families and the homeless who are apart of her community. She noticed the increase of families affected and number of people who were struggling and that is how United Hands Inc. came to be. United Hands Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping and providing for those in need, especially during these times. We are focused on bettering the lives of our neighbors who do not know where their next meal will come from.
